We're going to have a bit of winter fun this year with a new Adult Winter Reading program. We'll have programs, a winter book club, and chances to earn and win neat stuff. Check it all out! Plus, register and print out your reading challenge list.
-Read 4 books from the options on the reading challenge list. You have from Jan. 2nd-March 2nd to do it. If you read more than 4 books, be sure to check them off too for an extra chance at a prize.
You can turn in your reading challenge list any time up until March 2nd.
-Turn in your reading challenge list by March 2nd. You'll receive 1 dozen homemade cookies just for completing the challenge! Dietary restrictions are ok! Plus, you'll be entered into a drawing for 1 of 4 $25 gift cards.
If you've read more than 4 books, you'll have an extra entry in the gift card drawing.
We'll have special programs too:
Sat., January 27th at 2:00 pm: Winter Book Club selection discussion: The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. We'll have copies available for check out in the library, but it's available in several formats. Sunflower eLibrary, State Library eBooks, and in print.
Sat., January 27th at 3:00 pm: We'll watch the recent movie release The Glass Castle starring Woody Harrelson, Naomi Watts, and Brie Larson. Movie run time is about 2 hours.

Sat., February 24th at 12:00 pm: Winter Book Club selection discussion: A Piece of the World by Christina Baker Kline. We'll have copies available for check out in the library, but it's available in several formats. Sunflower eLibrary, State Library eBooks, and in print.
Sat., Feb. 24th at 1:30 pm: We'll be doing a baking program featuring blueberries to tie in with the book A Piece of the World. Registration will be required for this program with preference given to book club readers.
