Have a question about your smart device, eBooks, or your computer? No question is off limit, and we can probably help you out. Our Director Mike is available to offer technical assistance whenever he's in. You can schedule an appointment or pop in and see if we can help out.
The Library provides a variety of on-site technical services in addition to what is available online. Services available at the library include:
Use of the computers and WiFi is always free. Scanning directly to email is also free. Faxing, copying, and printing do have fees associated with them. To send a fax is $1.00. To receive a fax is $0.25 per page. To copy or print is $0.10 per page for black and white (single side), $0.15 per page black and white (double side), and $0.50 per page for color (single side).
It's easy to use the wireless printing option at the library. You can print from your laptop, phone, or other wireless device. You'll need to send the item you want printed in an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Xerox will send you a special code in a reply email. Then you only need to input the code into our printer, and your item will be printed right away.
Nothing will be printed without this code being inputted. Regular printing charges apply to wireless printing
We have a free photo editor and web design editor on our public computers. They're great tools for productivity, but they can be hard to learn how to use. If you want practice with photo editing or web design, you can check out the tutoriols here. You can also download the programs to your own computer.
The advanced GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) is similar to Photoshop. It'll allow you to edit photos most ways you'd like.-Tutorial
Blue Griffon is a powerful web editor. It's not a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor, so you'll be working with the code directly. This takes more practice, but it's much more powerful.-Tutorial
If you want a WYSIWYG editor, we recommend Wix.
