We have a ton of weekly programs and activities for kids during Summer Reading 2018! There are Thursday programs with performers as well as activities for all ages at other times of the week. Come out for a fun program all about the sounds of nature and how they blend to create their own kind of natural music. Participants will learn more about how animals like crickets, squirrels, birds and more make their own unique sounds. Participants will help create a little music of their own too!
Put on your saddle shoes and poodle skirts, serve up the chocolate milkshakes, and bring the whole family as we Rock Around The Clock with a malt shop memories trip back to the doo-woppin', be-boppin' 1950's. All of Cynthia’s music & movement library programs get the kids (and adults!) involved with singing, dancing, contests and games of the decade.
Self described illusionist, magician, sleight of hand artist, pick pocket, thief, conman, and master of deception. Come one and all for a magic show!
A DRUMatic Interactive Music Program! Books & Buckets connects kids with the power of story through puppets, props, drumming, singing, and dance fosters creativity, curiosity and confidence uses books, buckets and puppets as springboards for exciting hands-on activities Participants will never forget the joyful experience of creating sound with others!
Dynamic theatrical storyteller using props, costumes, puppets, and offers lots of role-playing for audience participation.
The Wings of Love Bird Show will feature endangered parrots, a curly crested toucan, a talking or singing parrot, and a surprise bird appears from a book. PLUS you'll also see the largest type of owl in the world.
Angela is a character driven ventriloquist who has harbored a love for puppets and making them talk since she was a young girl. You'll see characters in this show who see the world from each of their unique perspectives. And always the show is never far from observing the world in which you and I live in a hilarious and unique way!
Brian is an International Jugglers Association Team Champion who combines his award winning juggling and audience antics into a high energy mix of library fun for all ages! "Give the skinny fellow three or more objects and he'll juggle them. Add three or more spectators and he'll make you wonder whether he's juggling the objects or the people. Actually he's doing both..."
