Summer Reading program details:

1. Online registration begins Mon, May 27th. We are closed for Memorial Day, so if you want to register in person, you can start doing so on Tues., May 28th.

2. We have two different t-shirt styles this year for those who complete the program. All youth sizes will feature one design, and the adult sizes are another. Depending on the size requested, most 3rd grade and younger will receive a youth shirt and most 4th grade and up will receive an adult shirt.

3. When you register in person at the library, you will receive a bag with your reading log, A Universe of Stories bookmark, an astronaut to build, 4 book recommendation forms, and a StoryWalk response form.

4. To complete Summer Reading, each participant needs to read:

  • Ages birth-5 years old: 20 age appropriate books
  • Ages 6-11 years old: 10 age appropriate books
  • Ages 12-18 years old: 5 age appropriate books

5. Keep track of what books are read by writing them down on the reading log. Participants should keep track all summer long and only turn in the reading log at the conclusion of Summer Reading between July 29th-31st.

We are changing the prizes kids will earn for reading this year.

6. There will be a larger prize raffle with 6 prizes. These will be raffled off on Fri., Aug. 2nd following Story Time. The prizes will be aimed at the various ages of participants, so there is something each participant will want to try for. We will also have a variety of small prizes.
