- About Us
19649 Linwood Rd.
Kids of all ages can participate! We have three different age categories: lapreaders (birth-5 years of age), 6-11, and 12-18. You will sign up your child using this form. Once registered, you'll have the option to use Reader Zone (via an app or online) to easily track your child's reading goals. If you'd prefer, we're also including a paper reading log in your child's Summer Reading information bag.
Pick up your bag!
Once registered, you will need to pick up your child's Summer Reading bag which will include everything you'll need to know plus a few supplies. Just give us a call when you're ready to coordinate your bag pick up time.
Weekly Projects & Themes!
Every Monday Ms. Stefanie will announce a new theme for the week. Then kids can participate by completing crafts and activities related to that week's theme. Then we'd love to see what everyone did! Share your work with us by emailing Ms. Stefanie, sharing on Facebook, etc. #LCLimagine
Everyone who participates during a weekly themed project will have the chance to win a prize! Ms. Stefanie will draw a winner from each age category.
Ms. Stefanie has an art contest this summer! Youth ages 6-18 years old can participate.
There will be three age categories: 6-9 years old, 10-13 years old, and 14-18 years old. Kids should create their own original works of art and express what our theme of Imagine Your Story looks like to them. The library will provide all the details in your child's Summer Reading bag plus hand out the 18" x 24" paper that should be used. Kids can create any kind of 2D work they would like using any materials (crayon, marker, paint, etc). Ms. Stefanie would like to see their own handiwork, so no computer generated images. Deadline to turn in the artwork is July 11th.
There will be a winner in each category, and each winner will receive $25! Winners will be selected by the library staff, Board of Trustees, and Friends.
At the conclusion of Summer Reading, Ms. Stefanie will draw two winners in each age category for our raffle prizes! Children can earn raffle tickets by completing weekly themed projects, checking out books, participating in the art contest, or visiting the Storywalks.
Raffle winners will be drawn on August 3rd and notified afterwards.
